Poster Project: CN Tower in Canada

In 7th grade, we studied the Western Hemisphere in Social Studies, which included North and South America. When we got to Canada, we were asked to pick one landmark and do a poster on it. I picked the CN Tower. The grade I cannot recall, (It was too long ago,) but it was either an 'A' or a 'B', I'm sure. I had pictures with it, but since have lost them. These are the general facts which I cut and pasted onto the poster.

The Main Facts

The CN Tower, built by the Canadian National Railway, was opened to the public on June 26, 1976, but it's official opening was the first day of October that year. It took 40 months to build with 1,537. The CN Tower is most famous for being the tallest tower in the world, at an estimated weight of 130,000 tons and an exact height of 1,815 ft, 5 inches, or five 1/2 football fields.

The Location

The CN Tower is located in the city of Toronto. Toronto is located in Ontario, Canada. Toronto is quite a famous city for Canada. It has an estimated population of 2.4 million people. Toronto itself is 632 km. square. Over 80 languages are spoken there. It's a great place for the CN Tower.
